We’re an all-woman force of nature—serving up passion, flavour, and a whole lot of heart in everything we do.

Like all great love stories it starts with a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her… jokes. It starts with a girl and a slightly unhealthy caffeine addiction:

Meet Sarah: From Macca's to Mastering Hospitality

Sarah's hospitality journey began at 13, flipping burgers at Macca’s, and the passion never stopped. After high school, she took her skills overseas, working in hospitality across Greece and London before returning to Perth to pursue a degree in Psychology. Her heart never left the industry, so in 2018, she returned to her roots and became the proud owner of Our Ruby Girl in Como.

Known for its innovative employment programs, Our Ruby Girl has provided work experience and jobs for over 100 people with disabilities, alongside its popular coffee vans, gelato carts, and catering services. With a team of 18, Sarah has built a unique space in Perth’s vibrant hospitality scene.

Outside of work, Sarah is a proud mum to two daughters, Georgia and Zara and proud supporter of two adult gifts Oriana and Sienna. Motherhood has been her greatest achievement—and her toughest challenge. Balancing life as a single parent with her entrepreneurial journey, she pours resilience, love, and passion into everything she does.

Meet Jayde: A True Hospitality Heart

Jayde’s journey in hospitality began at just 13 years old, when $5 an hour cash-in-hand felt like a small fortune. But it wasn’t just the money that caught her attention—it was the thrill of creating experiences for others, the energy of the bustling environment, and the joy of making people smile. That spark, fueled by a love for food and service, set the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion.

By 23, Jayde took a bold step and opened her own restaurant, Syd & Phyllis, pouring her heart and soul into every dish, every detail, and every guest interaction. After 7 years of hard work, countless late nights, and creating a beloved space for the community, she made the difficult decision to sell the restaurant and embark on a new chapter in her journey. But the hospitality itch? It never left her—it’s in her blood.

Now, with a wealth of experience under her belt, Jayde continues to chase new dreams, all while staying grounded in the core values of her craft: quality, passion, and service with a smile. Whether she’s curating unforgettable experiences or sharing her knowledge with others, her love for hospitality shines through in everything she does.

When she’s not busy making magic happen in the world of food and service, Jayde enjoys her time with her wife, Cat, and their zoo at home—two dogs, two cats, and a whole lot of love. Together, they’re living proof that when you follow your passion, life can be a little bit wild, a lot of fun, and full of love.

Bold, Brave, and Unstoppable—Just Like Our Coffee

Meet Beth: The Culinary Queen

Beth’s love for cooking started at 15, helping her mum with Friday night meals at the local bowls club. From there, she kicked off her apprenticeship in the kitchen, quickly rising through the ranks to become head chef at a popular restaurant. Her journey took her to a variety of kitchens, where she perfected everything from Italian classics to the craft of wood-fired cooking.

Passionate about sustainability, Beth immersed herself in charcuterie, pickling, and preserving, all while embracing a no-waste philosophy. After years of honing her skills, she’s found her creative freedom, where she gets to put her heart and soul into every dish.

Outside the kitchen, she’s supported by her loving wife, daughter, and a pack of animals, always bringing a little extra flavour to life.

Meet Laura: The Admin Wizard Who Keeps It All Together

Meet Laura, the secret sauce behind our smooth operations – from catering and mobile vans to event services. With a degree in the arts and an eye for the finer details, she blends creativity with organisational magic to ensure every experience is flawless and unforgettable.

As Sarah & Jayde's personal assistant, Laura is the one you want when you need things done – fast, efficiently, and with a smile. She’s the go-to for solving problems, streamlining processes, and making sure everything stays on track. Whether she’s liaising with clients, coordinating schedules, or casting her organisational spell behind the scenes, Laura’s always a step ahead.

When she’s not keeping us on point, Laura’s living her best life with graphic novels, cuddling her feline sidekicks, and adding her signature artistic flair to everything she touches. She’s not just the admin wizard – she’s the one who makes sure everything runs like magic.
